What is LINCC?LINCC is the Library Information Network of Clackamas County, a county department charged with the distribution of tax revenue to public libraries in Clackamas County for the provision of excellent, efficient, coordinated public library service to all. LINCC is governed by the county's Board of County Commissioners, who are in turn advised on public library service by the LNIB (Library Network Intergovernmental Board: the city managers of all jurisdictions which operate public libraries) and by the PLC (Public Library Council: the directors of all member public libraries). LINCC's mission statement speaks to our goals and the areas in which we provide services to our member libraries: Through an organized, responsive, and service-oriented team, the Library Network serves the citizens of Clackamas County by providing libraries with the highest quality centralized services, including computer services, cataloging, reference, interlibrary loan, courier, continuing education, and administrative functions. This is accomplished through cost-effective daily operation, effective long-range planning, and promoting county-wide cooperation and sharing of resources. We encourage you to visit your local public library and take advantage of all that it has to offer! LINCC Staff |
