Family Cultural Pass Policies

The Family Cultural Pass program makes passes available to a variety of Portland area institutions. All due dates need to be observed so the next waiting borrower can pick up their reserved pass. There is only one pass per library and if late or lost all other borrowers are affected.

BORROWERS:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have a LINAS library card in good standing

RESERVATIONS:
Reservations may be made in person or by phone
Only one Pass per day may be checked out on your library card. You may reserve passes for other venues on different days

CANCELLATIONS:
If a reserved pass cannot be used, you must contact the library within 1/2 hour of opening. If you do not, a $10 charge is assessed

LOAN PERIOD:
1 day (no renewal)

ADMISSION INFORMATION:
The number of persons admitted to a particular venue will vary. You will need to read the information on the case containing the pass. Depending upon the size of the family group, patrons may incur some additional expense. Call the site for specific admission information not contained on the case.

PICK UP TIMES:
Reserved passes are available at most libraries for pickup one hour before closing on the night prior to the intended day of use. Please check with your local library for specifics.
Non-reserved passes may be picked up any time the library is open.

RETURN: Return pass to most libraries on the day used at least one hour before closing (to allow for next patron to pick up before closing). Please check with your local library for specifics.
If the day of use is a closed day for the library you may return the pass in the bookdrop before opening on the next day of business.
Pass must be returned to the library where it was checked out.

LATE RETURN:
$5.00 late charge per day - up to the cost of the pass, starting at library opening time the first day
ALL PASS PRIVILEGES ARE LOST UNTIL CHARGES HAVE BEEN PAID

LOST PASS:
Charge for a lost pass is the actual replacement cost of the pass: Portland Art Museum $210, Children's Museum $100, Japanese Garden $60, World Forestry Center $45, End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center $35, Chinese Garden $60, Pittock Mansion $60, Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden $25, Stevens-Crawford House and Museum of the Oregon Territory $35.
ALL PASS PRIVILEGES ARE LOST UNTIL REPLACEMENT CHARGES HAVE BEEN PAID

Transactions including reservations, checkout, and returns can only be done at the originating library.
